The ADA has mandated that pool lifts used to provide accessible entries into existing pools and spas must be “updated” unless not “readily achievable,” next to the pool/spa at all times when the facilities are open, and cannot be shared between two bodies of water even if they are in the same location. On May 18, 2012, the Department announced that it is adopting a final rule extending the compliance date for sections 242 and 1009 of the 2010 Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Standards for Accessible Design, as they relate to the provision of accessible entry and exit to existing swimming pools, wading pools, and spas (pools built prior to March 15, 2012).
Raindance Spa will be installing the required ADA lifts for all four bodies of water in the spa garden to comply with legal obligations. We will be taking advantage of this closure and will replace our hot tubs with new ones.
Raindance Spa will be closed completely from June 18-20th, with an alternate location for massage treatments only. The spa will reopen on Thursday, June 21st, however the spa garden (hot tubs, soaking pools, and chaise lounges) will be closed from June 21-29th.
All spa guests will have full access to the resort pool and resort hot tub facilities during this time.
