The space leans warm and unhurried, which suits a dog-along morning well. Reservations are preferred, but walk-ins are welcome.

Roche Winery Downtown Tasting Room (on the Plaza) The Roche family’s downtown location offers shaded outdoor patio seating with fire pits, and, if you are lucky, their two winery dogs may be on-site to greet yours. The outdoor tasting area is dog-friendly, and the wines span Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Merlot, and Zinfandel from the Carneros appellation.

After a morning on the bikes and a tasting-room circuit, head to Ernie Smith Community Park for a good run out.
